Arizona Economic Data

A 1998 study published in the American Journal of Health Promotion, found that Flagstaff's smokefree ordinance had no economic effect on the restaurant industry. The study utilized restaurant and retail sales data for periods approximately 3.5 years prior to enactment of a no-smoking-in-restaurants ordinance and 1.5 years after enactment of the ordinance.
